Obituary: Ms. Samantha Green

SAUGUS- Ms. Samantha J. Green, 22 years, died as a result of an accident on Friday. She was the daughter of Gary L. and Valerie E. (Bourque) Green.

Born in Lynn, a lifelong resident of Saugus. Ms. Green was currently attending the Salter School where she was studying to become a medical assistant. Samantha was currently employed at the Bay Ridge Hospital where she was a unit secretary.

In addition to her parents, Samantha is survived by her grandfathers; Richard Bourque of Saugus and William Green of Maine. She was the niece of Pamela Bourque, Sandra Fitzgerald, Amy Pereira, Marcia Jepson, Denise Heffernan, Gail Green-Drum, Ronald Bourque, Michael Bourque and also survived by many cousins. She was predeceased by her grandmothers; Amy Bourque and Jean Green.

In lieu of flowers donations in Samantha’s memory may be made to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970.

SERVICE INFORMATION
A funeral will be held from the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at the Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer St., Saugus at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and Friends invited. Obituary: Peter H. Bahatouris

Peter H. Bahatouris, age 36, of Saugus, formerly of Lynn, died suddenly on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at his home. He was the son of Georgia (Georgakopoulos) Bahatouris, of Lynn and the late Christos Bahatouris. Born in Athens Greece, he was raised in Lynn and had lived in Lynn for the majority of his life until he moved to Saugus four years ago. He was the owner of J&P Produce in Saugus for the past 4 years. A caring person with a big heart and a beautiful smile, he would light up a room and be the life of the party wherever he went. He loved spending time with his dog “Bone”. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancé Jennifer Zitoli, of Saugus, he was the newly “Proud Baba” to his daughter Juliana, his two brothers George Bahatouris, of Lynn, and John Bahatouris, of New Hampshire, his sister Effie Beos, of Greece, his Godchildren Arianna Makrakis, and Pam and Kim Dimis, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. His Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9am from the SOLIMINE LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME 426 BROADWAY (RTE129), LYNN, followed by a Funeral Service at 10am in St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hour’s Tuesday 4-8pm.

Obituary: Richard D. “Dick” Puglia

Obituary: Richard D. “Dick” Puglia

Mr. Richard D. “Dick” Puglia, a resident of Saugus, passed away on Thursday morning, April 29, 2010 after a brief illness at Beverly Hospital. He was 74 years of age.

Mr. Puglia was born on January 23, 1936 in Somerville, one of four children of the late Andrew Puglia and Rose (Tartaglia) Puglia.

Richard “Dick” Puglia was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School, class of 1952. At the young age of 15, he began his working career at H.P. Welch Trucking Co. in Somerville where he continued working for 10 years. He was then employed by Bos-Taun Transportation reaching the level of Senior Vice President. In 1978, he and his wife, Carole, opened Manchester Hardware and Supply on Beach Street in Manchester-by-the-Sea. Dick served in the US Army during Vietnam.

Richard, or “Dick” as he was well known, was a self taught musician and craftsman. He played the acoustic guitar and crafted furniture. Dick enjoyed watching sports and his weekly musical gatherings to sing and play the guitar.

Dick was the beloved husband of Carole A. (Stephens) Puglia with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. Loving brother of Loretta M. McLaughlin and her late husband Ronald J. of Somerville, Rosemarie Scannell and her husband James of Peabody, and Andrew R. Puglia and his wife Joan of Somerville. Also survived by many nieces & nephews and great-nieces & great-nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held in honor and remembrance of Dick’s life at Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Monday, May 3 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6 PM. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
