Two fires were believed to be set-off by fireworks based on resident’s reports hence Fire Chief Blanchard warns against the use of fireworks during this season’s hot and dry weather conditions.

Special Olympics Day and Special Needs Hold Joint Festival

Two DCR Employees Convicted of Stealing From The Longfellow Bridge

Richard Stewart and Joseph Falzone, two former Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) employees have been ordered to pay over half a million dollars in restitution for the theft of more than 2,000 feet of cast-iron “coping” that that they took from the Longfellow Bridge and stored in a DCR facility in Stoneham, Middlesex District.
