Chairman Pamela Gill of the Saugus Board of Trustees recently announced that the Saugus Public Library has been re-certified, allowing residents of Saugus to once again freely borrow books from other neighboring communities libraries.
The Saugus Public Library received re-cetification as a result of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners vote of 9-0 on Thursday. Starting next Tuesday, Chairman Gill says, Saugus citizens should already be able to borrow books from other cities and towns.
The library will also have an annual book sale on Founder’s Day. The Founder’s Day Book Sale Extravaganza will take place on Saturday, September 11 from 9 am – 2 pm during the town’s Founder’s Day celebration.
